How do you view bumps in the road on your business and life journey?
I used to think that when things were not going how I imagined they would, then something was wrong, something was off. As we are in a powerful moment of transition at BodyMind Living, I could easily think that our decision to no longer offer the BodyMind Coaching Program as we have up until now means…
… I failed.
… I didn’t know what I was doing.
… I wasn’t on the right path.
When I tune into my heart and intuition, I realize that this moment of transition, ending of one thing to open space for another, is something worth celebrating. The in-between is powerful, and I want to use this edition of The Embodied Entrepreneur Weekly to explore how we can celebrate and honor those moments that feel like a misstep. I hope you enjoy it!
The Quote We Are Pondering
“The vision in your heart is a gift. Trust it and take action.”
~ Laura Wieck
The BodyMind Method© is a tool that can help you listen to and understand the vision in your heart.
Yet, when we set goals for ourselves, we often leave the heart out of it and go straight to the brain–the logical, realistic, and practical part of us, right? Then, when we don’t hit our goals, we often think something has gone wrong. Or even worse, we think something is wrong with us.
I want you to feel into what it might be like to see those missed goals as something worth celebrating, something redirecting you back to your heart’s vision. So often, our true desires have been buried so deep we need support, mentorship, and a process to tap into them again.
How might you reconnect with your heart and those deep desires this week?
The Embodiment Exercise We’re Loving
Do you ever wake up with the best of intentions? You have all of the plans swirling around, thinking, “Let’s do this!” Then, your body communicates something different. Maybe it’s an usual slowness to your morning routine. Maybe you feel certain aches and pains in unexpected places. Maybe you just have zero energy.
BodyMind Ambassador, Marielle Shofstall, knows this exact experience, which is why I’m excited to share her latest embodiment video with you on her morning walk. See how she explores ideas of presence, even when the best laid plans go awry. After watching, do some reflective writing on what spoke to you, and then let that content go right into your next social media post or email. Tag us @bodymindliving if you share on IG!
Coach Spotlight
Meet Susannah Otocki, BodyMind Method© Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist, Board Certified Polarity Practitioner, Sound Practitioner, Certified Distance Healer, & Reiki Practitioner
Are you in a stuck place? A place in your life where you know something needs to change, but you just aren’t sure where to begin? Susannah used to be right there before she discovered BodyMind Coaching. Here’s how she described that moment in her life:
“Years ago I worked an office job, and every weekend – like clockwork – I got a headache and stomach pain, and spent the whole weekend home in bed. This happened every week for months. My body was trying to tell me something, and I wasn’t listening. It was at least 10 years before I started listening. I wish I had BodyMind Coaching then.”
Now, Susannah helps people who were right where she used to be, “working with people who are tired of living lives limited by stress and pain and want to step into their joy and confidence and start living a life they love.” I love how the BodyMind Coaching Method© supports amazing people like Susannah and her clients by honoring and walking through all moments in life, the lows and the highs.
The Articles We’re Reading & Using With Our Clients
“Have you ever been on a journey in your life that you feel like you are trying to get to a certain place when the reality is what you need is already inside you?”
This is the question BodyMind Ambassador, Jaimee Mashula, asked in her latest article, “My Yellow Brick Road,” where she describes her journey in claiming her role as a coach. When it comes to celebrating, we often think of the moments where we really felt like an expert, like we had it all figured out. But, Jaimee offers a different perspective. Here’s how she explains it:
“I have been on my coaching journey for two years now, and I am still learning, still growing, and have my own gremlins popping up. I recently had the opportunity to sit in on a 2-day virtual retreat focused on coaching skills with the newest BodyMind Coaching Program clients… What was fascinating to me was during one of my exchanges with a blossoming new coach, just using the power to hold space, be curious, and help the person in front of me see something that they couldn’t see for themselves helped ME realize that I am a coach…Spending time with these new coaches helped me to see how much I had grown, and the experience helped me remember that I don’t need to have all of the answers because everyone I coach holds their own answers.”
What if we celebrated our continued growth versus waiting until we had it all figured out? How might you show up differently with your next session with your clients? How might sharing this article with your own clients help them see this as well?
