Embodied Entrepreneur Weekly: Let’s celebrate!

When’s the last time you celebrated?

If you are like most folks I talk to, you may have what we at Team BodyMind Living like to call “accomplishment amnesia.” This is the condition where just as soon as we accomplish something, take the next step, do the scary/exciting thing, we move on to the next, with very little acknowledgement (much less celebration) of what we just experienced. In fact, we often forget what we have accomplished!

Well, that stops here! I want to use the Embodied Entrepreneur Weekly to support you this week in celebrating. These are tools you can use with your clients to help them pause and celebrate as well!

See, it’s not about how big the thing is that you are celebrating. Instead, it’s about building a neural pathway that provides evidence that ”You are amazing. You can do hard things (Glennon Doyle style!). You are worth celebrating.”

The Quote We Are Pondering

“When you take risks you learn that there will be times that you succeed and there will be times that you fail. Both are equally important.”
~ Ellen Degeneres

We just finished enrollment for our latest (and final for now) round of The BodyMind Coaching Program. It has been amazing to meet and greet our new clients. I’m curious: what do you do when you begin working with a new client? How do you celebrate?

We have lots of fun ways to celebrate the clients who come, and the ones who said, “No.” Yep, you read that right: we celebrate our yeses and our nos. Why? Because as the wise and magical Ellen Degeneres shares in this quote, both are important. As we are growing and taking what feels like “risks” in our growth journey, we welcome, honor, and celebrate what society considers failures… because we know that those “fails” are signals that we are on the right path.

The Embodiment Exercise We’re Loving

Can we cultivate, activate and give ourselves permission to experience joy and our feelings without bypassing or ignoring all that happens in the world around us? The ability to do this is what BodyMind living, navigating joy, and celebrating are really about. Our Managing Editor, Shana Hartman, speaks to this type of celebrating and navigating joy in the quick embodiment video.

She shares how tuning within for everything that shows up allows us to get connected and stay connected. As you watch, ask yourself what embodiment supports your celebration and joy finding?

Coach Spotlight

Meet Stephanie Jefferson, BodyMind Method© Coach and Massage Therapist

Stephanie knows what living life without celebrations can feel like. Here’s how she describes it:

I have been in a place of burn out, frustration and illness. I also know how magnificent it feels to get on the other side. This is why I coach others.

How does she help her clients “get on the other side?” One of her clients explains Stephanie’s approach like this: “Stephanie asks deep, thoughtful questions and listens really closely to my responses. It’s clear that she responds in so many ways: in conversation, through her hands in the body work, with her intuition and energy in the way she creates a healing, supportive, personally-tailored space. These sessions leave me feeling clearer, supported, and more rooted in my life’s journey.”

Well, if that feedback isn’t worth celebrating, I don’t know what is! I encourage you to ask why your clients love working with you (gathering your current clients’ words is also a wonderful marketing tool to support you in finding and connecting with new aligned clients).

The Articles We’re Reading & Using With Our Clients

Have you ever had a feeling like this show up when you were about to speak in front of a crowd:

My heart was beating so loud that you could hear it racing as the silence in the room got even quieter. My head felt like it was about to explode. My feet were ready to run out the door.

This is exactly what BodyMind Ambassador, Alina, experienced as she debated whether to allow her full, spiritual self to be seen during our powerful BodyMind LIVE event. When thinking about moments to celebrate, we find Alina’s article about claiming her voice fit the bill perfectly!

Even though Alina herself can now celebrate this moment, when it was happening, she was nervous. However, when she tuned into her body, suddenly her path became clear and she became calm. Here’s how Alina explains the feeling of claiming her voice, BodyMind style:

When you give voice to your body, the thoughts of your mind, the feelings of your heart, and the knowing in your gut, all of you is amplified.

I invite you to join us in exploring how you might claim your voice in new, aligned ways… and, why that is so worth celebrating when you do!

Resources For Your Holistic Practice

One thing we LOVE to celebrate is our powerful community. There is NOTHING like the community of amazing souls we get to support and be supported by in our coaching programs. We like to say, “What happens in BodyMind Coaching stays in BodyMind Coaching” – it’s a lot like Vegas 😉 The friendships, laughter, and love we feel for each other is pretty darn special.

“I literally feel like a different person from when I started,” said Tamara, at just six months into her BodyMind Coaching journey.

“There is something about being in the group that’ll help you shed the layers and get you to the place where you want to go,” she said.

Hearing the rest of Tamara’s and our other clients’ stories will give you chills! If you know you are ready to be in a community like this, we want to hold a spot for you for our future offerings.

Love note from Laura

So, how did all this talk of celebrating make you feel in this week’s Embodied Entrepreneur?

Excited? Uncomfortable? Doubtful? Hopeful?

Whatever showed up, know that you are in good company because all of us at Team BodyMind Living have been there! We also know that celebrating both the big steps and the small, seemingly insignificant ones are a huge part of deepening your work as an embodied entrepreneur and creating the fiercely aligned business and life of your dreams.

Love,

Laura
