I don’t know about you, but this past week felt like an energetically heavy week. Maybe it’s because of the multiple planets in retrograde or the long days spent on Zoom or my soon-to-be 3 year old son who has learned the power of a temper tantrum…
… whatever it is, I’ve just noticed that it’s taking a bit of extra energy to get things in motion.
Despite the amazing connections and conversations I’ve had this week, I notice myself slipping into a feeling of frustration and judgment when things don’t move the way I expect them to move.
I’m curious if you might know what I mean?
There is where you are now, where you want to be, and then the space between.
As a big dreamer, high-achiever, and driven person, I can often create unnecessary suffering in myself when I try to shorten, compress, and skip the space between where I am and where I want to be.
But it is in that space– liminal space– where the true gift is hiding.
This week, instead of resisting this energy, I decided to do the uncomfortable thing and just BE with it.
What I noticed as I allowed myself to sit and feel the gremlins telling me that I haven’t been “productive” (which is a total lie) is that I’ve created a story in my mind of “The Mythical land of ‘There.’”
The Mythical Land Of “There” is a place where…
… I’ve figured “it” out.
… The money, the clients, the business is always there without me having to do anything.
… Everyone is happy.
… Life is perfect.
And, in order to get to “There,” I have to traverse the mountains of good enough, worthiness, responsibility, and proving myself.
I’ve been a coach since 2008, and I have been climbing these mountains for years. I love coaching (true coaching– most of what we see online today isn’t actually “coaching”). I have been on my own personal growth journey for most of my adult life.
And yet… the coaching industrial complex that is constantly telling us to grow, expand, uplevel, and get THERE is exhausting.
So here’s the challenge…
I have big dreams.
I have big goals.
I want to make the world a better place for my son.
And, I don’t want to constantly strive for “there” because, quite frankly, that journey feels like pushing a boulder up a mountain and I’m over it.
This week, as I allowed myself to be uncomfortable in the messy middle, I asked myself a question:
Who do I get to be when I’m “There?”
Courageous. Bold. Successful. Free. Worthy. Confident.
I get to be me– fully and unapologetically.
That is when I realized that the gift that was being offered to me in THIS MOMENT was the chance to own those qualities and be me now.
I love being a coach. I love running a coach training company. I love helping heart-centered service providers & business owners make money by receiving for the simple and obvious things they are already doing.
And…
That journey isn’t about all the things you need to do to get to “There.”
It’s about owning and embracing who you are… who you truly are… and living Fiercely Aligned.
If you are ready to reimagine how you work, so you can stop trying to chase the “mythical land of there,” and start owning what is waiting for you HERE, join me for a powerful event that will radically change how you work for good.
I’m not here to play small, and I suspect that you aren’t either.
